SCHOOL AND FAMILY EVENTS
All Aboard Club runs inclusive train-play sessions for autistic, ADHD and SEND children, where they can build their confidence, develop their social skills and just be themselves.
We can bring these sessions to the families who you work with, and make them part of your activity calendar.
Whether you are a school, children’s centre, charity or community organisation, we can help your children share their special interest in trains in a safe, supportive and understanding environment.
What happens at a session?
It will be just like one of our public events, with all the trains and track and team members to support the children’s play.

The children and young people at Pond Meadow are so motivated by ‘All Aboard Club’ sessions. They learn so many things using a train track – maths, social development, building relationships and problem solving.
Above all they have such fun building the biggest track possible in an imaginative and collaborative way.Emily Hayward-Stubbs, CEO and Headteacher at Pond Meadow School
The magic of our play sessions
Autistic, ADHD and SEND children can find conventional stay-and-play sessions or group activities very stressful because of sensory challenges, the pressures of social interactions or being seen as ‘different’.
At All Aboard Club, we understand this. Our Managing Director is autistic and ADHD himself, and many of our staff and volunteers have lived or professional experience of autism, ADHD and SEND. Our sessions are designed specifically for these children and their needs.
This means that they:
- can relax and feel safe
- can be themselves
- use their imagination
- build their confidence
- collaborate with others
- develop their social skills
- have fun!
All Aboard Club for schools
Imagine your school hall filled with trains … and your children working together to develop their social and communication skills.
The children at an All Aboard Club session will develop their:
- engagement and focus
- cooperation and sharing
- problem-solving
- investigation skills
- imaginative play
- fine motor skills
We have designed play sessions for both primary and secondary schools. These sessions can be run during the school day or as after-school clubs. All Aboard Club will provide all the trains and supervise the sessions alongside your teaching and support staff.
Why work with All Aboard Club?
Experience and expertise
We’ve been running and refining these sessions since 2018 and we know they work.
Knowledge and empathy
Our founder and many of our team members have personal or professional experience with autism, ADHD and special educational needs.
Track record (pardon the pun)
We have put on sessions for a range of schools and other organisations and always get great feedback.
We are so pleased that All Aboard Club offers exclusive sessions for our Skylarks families. Parents welcome having these wonderful sessions to bring their children with additional needs to where they explore playing with trains as well as building tracks and bridges.
The sessions are so popular with the children who get so much out of this special interest activity. We have no hesitation in recommending these sessions.Mia, Skylarks

Frequently asked questions about our schools sessions and family events
We just need a large room, like a sports hall, with no furniture except a few chairs. We also need a parking space for our estate car with step-free access to the room so that we can unload our play equipment on trolleys.
We build a giant train track across the floor of the room. We can also provide a smaller track for the children who may find the larger track a bit overwhelming. We then leave boxes of trains and track around the room, so the children can choose what they want to do.
We need about an hour to set up the train track. Then, we can run play session for each class or group of children which usually last about 30 minutes. We can be flexible to fit in with your school day.
We have enough trains and track for up to 20 children, although smaller groups may be more suitable for your school.
We understand that our trains may not be of interest to some of the children, even with encouragement. However, some may still like to watch the session, without actively taking part.
All Aboard Club will provide two staff to set up the session, build the track, supervise the session and tidy up afterwards. We encourage all your teaching and support staff to come with their children.
The session can then be part of broader curriculum activities, including teamwork, literacy, numeracy, and teamwork. Our trains can be a great platform(!) for all sorts of learning.
